Vivian Vanesa
TALLER ALUNA
Taller Aluna is a family prayer and artistic collective led by Vivian Vanesa García, who has been working since 2005 with ancestral, ceremonial and ritual art through the knowledge of feathers, weaving and crafts. As a medicine woman she has applied all of the knowledge received from the elders, through sharing in different traditions of southern and northern American tribes, working with ancestral medicine and traditional ceremonies such as the sundance, sweatlodge, mambeaderos, among other sacred spaces of communion with indigenous spirituality. She has been holding space for the last 5 years through the itinerant Sacred Art Camp, an initiative of sharing the gathered wisdom and artistic knowledge of feather and beadwork with others, who learn how to create their own ritual instruments with devotion and love.
